Diane Kappa is a wonderful, local Seattle artist who has had an art licensing business for close to 20 years. Her art is bold and creative. It’s been used in everything from textiles to art prints, and there is a good chance you may have seen something she created in your wanderings. Beautiful botanicals block prints are her specialty. She is a fun, knowledgeable artist and teacher.
Saturday, February 3rd will be a great day to try something new and to create something you can share with others!
In this class (about 2 to 3 hours in length), Diane will:
- Guide you through transferring your design onto lino.
- Teach you how to take care of your tools so that gauging into the lino is easy – your tools should work for you.
- Learn how to ink your design for a nice transfer of the image.
- And finally, how to print! She will share her tips and tricks and share with you all the things you need to continue practicing at home.
You will leave with your cut lino so you can print more at home.
You will make 10 cards – think about Valentine’s Day, Birthday, Thank you cards, or anything!
This is a beginner class and all levels are welcome!
Cost is: $65/person. All supplies to create your 10 cards are included. Reservation is required.
